Now for a little about me! I have been with State Farm since 2013 and licensed in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois and Arkansas. I was born and raised in Independence and still a resident till this day. My family includes my wife Ashton, daughter Arlington and our golden doodle Winston (AKA, our office mascot - stop by the office to meet him)! We are often referred to as the "4 Tons".

We take pride in making a difference in our community and helping people make smarter insurance decisions. We don't believe in the cookie cutter insurance policies which is why we take such pride in our personalized approach. We take time to personalize your insurance protection plan to fit you and your needs with the discounts you deserve! We also apply this approach to all of our life insurance and health insurance plans we create. Julie is originally from San Jose, CA and has lived in Independence since 2004. She and husband Mike have 4 children, 5 grandchildren 2 puppies and 5 grand puppies. Her passions are her family & friends, caring for others and having fun. In her spare time, Julie enjoys attending her children/grandchildren’s activities, supporting Independence Young Life and is a big fan of the Chiefs.

Julie has over 30 years of business administration and customer service experience. She loves helping people and building relationships that come with that. Her insurance journey began with Houston Richards in March of 2020, and she is looking forward to being a part of the agency until retirement.

Ashlee is originally from a "small" town outside of Sacramento CA but moved to Missouri in 2009 at the age of 10. She found her passion for living a small-town life in the country when moving to Lone Jack, Missouri. Her, her husband Austin, and Daughter Aria now live in the small town with their 3 dogs, 14 goats and soon to add chickens and cows!

Ashlee started in the insurance industry in 2018 where she found her niche with helping educate others on how to protect their most valuable assets. She is currently working towards expanding her knowledge and getting additional licenses to help all of our insureds with their future dreams. She expects to spend the rest of career within the Houston Richards' agency!

Austin was born and raised in Jefferson City, Mo and moved to Kansas City in late 2019 after graduating from college. He attended school at the University of Arkansas and finished his degree at State Technical College of Missouri with a degree in agronomy. Now he lives in Overland Park with his yellow Labrador, Remi.

Austin started his insurance career with the agency in August 2023 after working in the golf industry for several years. He found a passion in learning the ins and outs of the industry, educating and protecting people for whatever life throws at them. He is looking forward to an exciting future with the Houston Richards agency.

Kaylie has lived in Independence, MO since 2004. She is a 2020 graduate of Truman High School and is currently studying Business Management & Marketing at Northwest Missouri State University.
